Production Engineer

We are searching for a talented Electrical Engineer to join our growing Production team. This is a position that requires a dynamic, thoughtful, goal oriented Engineer with strong people skill.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide product sustaining engineering support to direct sales, channel partners and customers (Internal and External).
  • Assist sales team in creating customer specific solutions. This includes (but not limited to) pre-sales and post-sales technical assessments, practicality testing, technical response to customer bids, RMA verification and on-site technical training
  • Conduct Product testing while working with senior engineers and product management.
  • Develop test plans, capture and analyze data, write technical reports.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers.

  • Ability to Develop applicable bill of materials (BOM).
  • Notify manager of potential quality or regulatory issues that may affect product quality or regulatory compliance.
  • Able to conduct test procedures of embedded systems, Single Board Computers, Modular Power supplies, Relays, DC and AC Motors, PCI, ISA, PCIe, PC/104, ATX, PICO-ITX, 3.5”, EPIC, PICMG, ComExpress and ETX Systems.
  • Ability to manage inventory systems.
  • Ability to resolve warranty issues, including escalated situations, investigating complaint, interviewing customer and resolving customer’s complaints. Troubleshoot and identified root cause by innovatively leverage software interface tools.
  • Review quality data according to existing documents and procedures.
  • Acquaint manager of possible quality or regulatory issues that may affect product quality or regulatory compliance.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with other tasks and special projects as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:

  • Candidates possess a strong work ethic, positive mental attitude, motivation, and ability to work independently.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent MBA is a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Power-Point, Project, Excel, Office and Word).
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret schematics and data sheets.
  • Utilizes strong analytical, logical, and research skills to gather facts and make decisions.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours.
  • Project Management Skills
  • Strong Background in computer technology with general knowledge of how components work together within systems
  • Ability to apply knowledge and experience towards learning new or different technologies quickly.
