Test Department Lead

Vox Technologies is planning to expand and secure its capability to provide a world class testing business that requires a Department Lead who will be a contributing partner. The Test Lead will be involved and contribute to the growth of this business unit. This person will be an integral part of the day-to-day activities in the product testing area. The person who fills this position must have strong experience and knowledge about many different types of hardware as well as experience testing high and low voltage electrical units, such as AC-DC power supplies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing a group of test technicians on a day-to-day basis.
  • Testing of various board-level products to the functional block level.
  • Gathering as much information as needed to be able to prepare a hardware product for test.
  • Testing of various types of power supplies, primarily low-voltage AC-DC.
  • Managing incoming Test Department Inventory items.
  • Assisting with locating specialized benchmark tests and other specialized software that can be used when current diagnostic software is incompatible with certain products.
  • Providing limited telephone support as needed.
  • Assisting Engineering in determining testability of all Vox products.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting Engineering with projects as needed.
  • Improving current departmental processes.
  • Creating and/or modifying test plans and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Associates degree with a concentration in electronics technology or equivalent military training.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in electronics assembly and functional testing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate across departments.
  • IPC-A-610 Certification is a plus.
  • Experience testing PLCs is a definite plus.
